Budget and participant fee for Jamboree Denmark 2026 is now set

The budget for Jamboree Denmark 2026 has just been approved by the Guides and Scouts of Denmark’s supervisory board. This means that we can publish the participant fee. For the first time, there will be two different participant fees depending on when you register for the jamboree.

Over 325 planning team members are already busy planning Jamboree Denmark 2026. In recent months, they have, among other things, provided inputs to the budget that will help ensure 30,000 scouts and guides get a fantastic jamboree in Hedeland Nature Park from 18 July 18 to 26 July 2026.

Two different participant fees

We would like to start registering participants for Jamboree Denmark 2026 a bit earlier than previous jamborees. Because of this, the jamboree executive committee has decided to change the registration process. The participant registration will open in the October 2025 with one price, which then increases from March 2026.

We do this to get a better idea of how the number of participants, thereby making it possible to plan for and pay the major expenses that must be paid before the jamboree. These include expenses for the establishment of supply, purchase of materials for activities, and expenses for the planning organization.

At previous jamborees, we had a non-binding pre-registration, but Jamboree Denmark 2022 experienced had more than 8000 more pre-registrations than the final binding registration three months later. This time we are replacing the pre-registration with an earlier binding registration that opens in October 2025.

  • If you register between October 2025 and February 2026, the participant fee is DKK 2475.
  • If you register between March 2026 and June 2026, the participant fee is DKK 2600.

The participant fee of DKK 2475 is the same as for Jamboree Denmark 2022 plus 10 percent, as we expect the costs to increase 10 percent.

The jamboree planning organization are still working on the details of the participant registration. But we know it is important for you to know the participant fees as soon as possible so you can plan accordingly. Before the participant registration opens in October 2025, all the details will be finalized and published on www.spejderneslejr.dk and in the information packages.

Why should we register early?

The earlier you register for Jamboree Denmark 2026, the easier it is for the us to plan the jamboree’s areal requirements, make rental agreements and purchase of the right amount of food stuffs etc. Additionally, the jamboree planning organization will have more money to cover the expenses that need to be paid before the jamboree starts.

What does the participant fee cover?

The participant fee is the jamboree’s largest source of income, supported by the host municipality agreement, grants, sponsorships, and sales during the jamboree. The jamboree’s income covers all activities, events, participants’ transportation to and from the jamboree, the physical infrastructure such as toilets and water supply at the jamboree, food for the participants, and an emergency response as well as expenses for planning and dismantling the jamboree.
