Traffic

Traffic

When 30,000 people gather in and around Hedeland Nature Park, it will naturally affect traffic in the area. Below, we have collected all relevant information.

Traffic Conditions Before, During and After the Camp

Road Closures

To ensure the safety of participants and protect the privacy of our neighbors, several roads will be closed during the main camp from 18 July at 00:00 until 26 July at 16:00

  • Thorsbrovej will be completely closed from Thorsager in the west to just before Thorsbrovej 19 in the east
  • Brandhøjgårdsvej will be completely closed from Truelshøj in the north to Tingstedvej in the south.
  • Tingstedvej will be completely closed at its northern end before Sognevej/Solvang.
  • At the southern end of Tingstedvej, residents of Reerslev will be able to enter and exit via a staffed checkpoint on Brandhøjgårdsvej between Tingstedvej and Stærkendevej.

To ensure that only residents, their guests, and people with legitimate business use the access road to Reerslev, vehicle permits will be checked daily between 08:00 and 18:00, when most camp-related activity is expected. Residents will receive permits before the camp begins.

We understand that these road closures will alter normal travel routes and increase travel times for many neighbors. We encourage everyone to check alternative routes in advance and allow extra travel time while the camp is in operation. Volunteers staffing the southern checkpoint will do their best to keep traffic flowing smoothly.

Major Travel Days

On the arrival day (18 July) and departure day (26 July), a significant number of cars and buses are expected near the camp as 30,000 people arrive or leave. On departure day, many leaders will also be transporting equipment back to their scout groups, which will further increase travel times. We therefore encourage everyone to consider whether car travel is necessary on these two days.

Public Transport

During the main camp, bus routes 128 and 224 will operate on modified schedules and routes. The changed route is shown on the map on the website.

From Sunday 19 July to Saturday 25 July, two additional bus routes will operate: Route 111 to Høje Taastrup. (Se køreplan for rute 111 ) and Route 222 to Roskilde.(Se køreplan for rute 222 ). Please note that these buses are not funded by the camp, so passengers must pay the fare directly on board.

Stop for bus 111 og 222 is on Brandhøjgårdsvej v. Tranemosevej.

Other public transport changes will be announced by Din Offentlige Transport (Public Transport Denmark).
